South West Rocks is the largest seaside town within the Macleay Valley. In a prime position on Australia's Holiday Coast, it is mid-way between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. 

Surrounded by sandy beaches and lapped by sparkling blue ocean and waterways teaming with marine and wildlife... eucalypt forests and native bushland abound.

Both ocean and river fishing charter boats operate from South West Rocks offering whale and dolphin watching tours. There is scuba diving at the world famous Fish Rock, snorkelling the around the rocks in the bay, you can hire a catamaran or windsurfer, go 4 wheel driving, bird watching, bike riding, swimming, surfing, cruising bushwalking in the national parks and simply stroll through the historic gaol.

South West Rocks boasts a wide variety of beaches, from Trial Bay Beach, which faces west, one of the few beaches on the east coast to do so, to Horseshoe Bay, Back Beach, Main Beach, Trial Bay, Little Bay, Gap Beach, North Smoky and Smoky Beach.
